    WHAT ARTETA SAID

When asked if he was enjoying the final weeks of the transfer window, he told reporters: "I love it. No, I understand it [the transfer speculation] happens in the summer. I get a lot of people texting me, 'Are you after him?' and sometimes I don't even know what they are talking about. I don't follow it too much, I have enough work to do with other things so I don't get too distracted with it."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

With Jesus injured and question marks not abating over Kai Havertz's quality in front of goal, Arsenal have been linked with Newcastle United's Alexander Isak, Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres, and more, but time is running out for them to sign a new attacker. This could be the difference between winning silverware this season and not.
