Marcus Rashford nowhere to be seen as Alejandro Garnacho joins up with travelling Man Utd squad for Tottenham Carabao Cup clash

Garnacho has been recalled to the United squad after being left out for last weekend's derby win over Manchester City. The Argentinian travelled with the team to the capital for Thursday's Carabao Cup quarter-final against Spurs. However, there was no sign of Rashford, who looks set to miss out again after expressing his desire to leave Old Trafford this week.

Head coach Ruben Amorim insisted after omitting the pair from the squad that beat Man City 2-1 on Sunday that they would get another chance to return for the game in north London. And while Garnacho has seemingly done enough, Rashford's interview with Henry Winter this week, in which he admitted he's "ready for a new challenge", appears to have put an end to any hopes of an immediate return to the squad.

Per the Manchester Evening News, the confirmed United squad members for the trip to Spurs are as follows: Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui, Lenny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Manuel Ugarte, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Christian Eriksen, Kobbie Mainoo, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Joshua Zirkzee, Rasmus Hojlund, Amad Diallo.

The Carabao Cup might present the best chance for Amorim to land a trophy in his first season at the club. They'll take on Ange Postecoglou's side on Thursday after putting five past Leicester City in the fourth round.
