Leeds plot bid for Lecce star Nikola Krstovic to aid Premier League survival battle

Leeds have already made an offer for the 25-year-old but have not reached a personal agreement with the striker, according to Sky in Italy.

Leeds were promoted to the Premier League after they finished top of the Championship table with 100 points. In a bid to stay in the Premier League, coach Daniel Farke has identified Krstovic to reinforce their attacking department. However, Leeds would have to convince the striker to make the switch to Elland Road as he would like to stay in Italy.

Krstovic was crucial for Lecce's survival in Serie A as he scored 11 goals and provided five assists last season. It is exactly why he has attracted interest from top side in Serie A, namely AC Milan. However, no Italian sides have made concrete offers for the Montenegro international.

After the breakthrough season he had, Krstovic would like to assess all his options on the table before making a decision on his future. Leeds would hope that Krstovic snubs interested from top Italian clubs and choose them before moving to strengthen other areas of the pitch.
