‘Last night was a blast’ – D.C. United players spend evening at TGL Golf with Tennis superstar Serena Williams

D.C. United stars Lucas Bartlett, Connor Antley and Aaron Herrera, amongst others, were spotted at the SoFi Center taking in the TGL Golf classic this week. The indoor venue in Palm Beach Gardens in Florida was host to the very first season of TMRW Golf League (TGL), which was created by TMRW Sports. The league is a mix of traditional golf rules with simulated indoor golf and features players from the PGA tour.

The trio weren’t the only ones spotted from DC United as Jared Stroud, David Schnegg and a few others were pictured alongside tennis star Serena Williams, Tommy Fleetwood and other stars.

This is not the first time an MLS side has been spotted using their down time supporting various other athletes, with the likes of David Beckham, Carlos Vela and Co. all doing the same. So much so, that the Inter Miami co-owner is often spotted at Miami Heat games and local tennis tournaments while Vela is known to be friends with former LA Lakers star Anthony Davis.

Not only that, but MLS has had ties with several other sports as witnessed by the links to NBA teams, NHL teams and more with players spotted attending games and cheering on their favorite teams around the country.

D.C. United are currently enjoying their preseason in U.S., having beaten the New England Revolution, Charlotte FC and Charleston Battery while battling out a 1-1 draw against NY Red Bulls over the last few weeks. They face Colorado Rapids next in another preseason friendly with games against Nashville SC and the Houston Dynamo before they kick off their 2025 MLS season against Toronto FC on Feb. 22
