    WHAT HAPPENED?

England captain Kane, who is Spurs’ all-time leading goalscorer, bid farewell to north London in the summer of 2023 when embracing a new challenge in Germany. He is yet to win major silverware with Bayern, but is expected to break that duck in 2025.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

A retracing of steps to the Premier League has been speculated on once elusive honours have been secured. That is partly due to the fact that Bayern are said to be mulling over moves for a younger, more long-term option in their No.9 berth – with interest being shown in Sporting star Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko.

    WHAT TRANSFER INSIDER SAID

If Kane were to be made available, then Tottenham have first refusal and will be allowed to match any rival bids. According to GIVEMESPORT: “If Kane returns to the Premier League, there is a willingness to go back to Spurs. That's not been ruled out by the player. We have to wait and see if there's an appetite for Tottenham to do that deal, especially with Dominic Solanke.”

  • WHAT NEXT FOR HARRY KANE?

Kane - who has netted 73 goals for Bayern through 75 appearances - is said to have an exit clause in his contract which can be triggered at various prices in each passing transfer window. His deal at the Allianz Arena is due to run until 2027 and sees him earning around £400,000 a week.
