    THE BIGGER PICTURE

City fan Noel Gallagher was at the London Stadium to witness Haaland's tour-de-force, hours after Oasis' reunion shows went on sale and fan demand for tickets crashed the websites of all major ticket outlets. Haaland said he would call Noel and his brother Liam to ask for tickets to the shows next summer, and he should have no trouble getting in to the most anticipated concerts of 2025.

  • WHAT HAALAND SAID

"I think I need to make a call to both of them [Liam and Noel]," Haaland told Sky Sports after his hat-trick.

The striker also said he was reaping the rewards of having an extended summer holiday as he did not participate in the European Championship with Norway.

"I feel good, I feel energised. I had a long vacation and pre-season, I'm feeling good. The years I've been here have gone really quick, bam bam bam. Now I've got rest in my body," he added.

"I feel good and ready for more. Only footballers know how important it is to have a long enough break. You need to calm down your body and your mind because it's a long season and it's not as easy as everyone thinks. I'm happy to start again. I'm feeling fresh and feeling good."

    WHAT NEXT FOR HAALAND?

Haaland vowed to continue his prolific start to the season and said he is able to practise his shooting skills more often now that he is feeling better. "I feel more refreshed, more energised. When you do that you can practice things you want to get better at. I feel good, I want to get better," he said.

The striker will be in action for Norway next in the UEFA Nations League against Kazakhstan and Austria. City's next game after the international break is at home to Brentford on September 14.
