GettyTHE BIGGER PICTURE
United have now lost 13 times in the Premier League this season, which is a record number of defeats in the post-1992 era for the Red Devils, who remain eighth in the English top flight with three matches left to play in the 2023-24 campaign. With 81 goals now conceded, it is also already their worst defensive season in nearly half a century.
GettyWHAT NEXT FOR UNITED?
United have an even more difficult clash to come next as they welcome Premier League title contenders Arsenal to Old Trafford on May 12. Three days later they take on Newcastle before finishing the season off with a game against Brighton.
