'You are s***' - Conor Gallagher in x-rated rant at referee during Chelsea's win over Tottenham

Chelsea completed a league double over their London neighbours after securing a comfortable victory against Ange Postecoglou's men, thanks to goals in each half from Trevoh Chalobah and Nicolas Jackson. Gallagher put in an impressive performance on the field and notched up an assist for Chalobah's header in the first half.

In the latter stages of the match, Gallagher was penalised for a foul, leading to a heated exchange between the midfielder and referee Robert Jones. Expressing strong disagreement with the decision, Gallagher was spotted uttering expletives towards the match official.

An angry Gallagher while protesting vehemently said: "You are s***… what the f***."

However, his outburst did not result in a booking, allowing him to escape disciplinary action.

Before kickoff, Chelsea fans displayed a massive banner to show their appreciation for Gallagher and to send a message to the owners who are considering selling the player this summer. Organised by the fan group "We Are The Shed", the banner bore the message "Chelsea since birth" alongside an image of Gallagher donning the captain's armband.

At 24 years old, his current contract is set to expire at the end of the next season, attracting interest from various clubs, including Tottenham, Newcastle, Liverpool, West Ham, Everton, Brighton, and Fulham. Gallagher's potential departure could provide Chelsea with financial relief, as the club seeks to comply with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules. With a reported £100 million ($125.3 million) in player sales needed by the end of June to avoid breaching these regulations, Gallagher's sale could contribute significantly to meeting this target as he is a homegrown player and the proceeds would be counted as 100 per cent profit.

Looking ahead, Gallagher will look to continue with his bright form in the remaining Premier League matches against West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Brighton, and Bournemouth - so that Todd Boehly and Co change their minds on selling him to the highest bidder.
