The double signings of centre-back Matthijs de Ligt and full-back Noussair Mazraoui in a reported £60 million ($70m) raid of Bayern Munich and Leny Yoro's switch from Lille in a £58 million ($75m) move makes that pretty evident.

    Departures summer window

    Manchester United's summer transfer window has not only seen the arrival of new faces but also the departure of several players.

    Mason Greenwood's move to Olympique Marseille, alongside Willy Kambwala's transfer to Villarreal, marks the exit of two young talents seeking more playing time and opportunities to develop.

    The departures of Alvaro Carreras to Benfica and Donny van de Beek to Girona further reshape the squad.
