Chelsea want Marc Guehi back! Blues desperate to secure academy graduate's return ahead of transfer rivals

Per The Mirror, Chelsea have identified Guehi as a top target for the summer transfer window as head coach Enzo Maresca reportedly admires the player and wants someone like the England international who can be the leader in the team's backline.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, were determined not to let their star defender leave in January despite offers from Tottenham Hotspur. They even turned down multiple offers from Newcastle United last summer as they demanded £70 million ($88m) for the England international.

Guehi, who graduated from Chelsea's youth system, was sold to Palace in 2021 for just £18m ($22m). The west London side, however, included a clause which would allow them to match any offer from another club. They also locked in a sell-on clause which goes up to 20 per cent of any future transfer fee.

For now, the Three Lions star remains focused on the Eagles and will be next seen in action for the club on Saturday as they take on Fulham in the Premier League at Craven Cottage.
