WHAT HAPPENED?
Leeds need to sell players to comply with profit and sustainability rules, and Gray is wanted by numerous Premier League clubs. Brentford made a bid worth £40m, and the midfielder underwent a medical, but the two parties could not agree on a payment schedule, and the offer has now been officially rebuffed.

Gray is just 18 and is an England U21 international who has developed into a key player at Elland Road, already clocking over 50 first-team appearances for the club. That has led to interest from Chelsea and Spurs, and there is the potential of a new approach being submitted to the Championship club.
