Borussia Dortmund teenage star Youssoufa Moukoko sets Ballon d’Or target

Borussia Dortmund young star Youssoufa Moukoko has his eyes set on becoming a future Ballon d’Or winner amongst other goals he has in front of him.

Born in Yaounde, Cameroon, 14-year-old Moukoko has been the rave on the youth football scene in Germany since gaining recognition via his marksmanship in 2017.

This season has seen him net an impressive 22 goals in just 12 U17 German Bundesliga games for Dortmund - in the past five games, he has netted 13 times.

And alongside joining the leagues of Christian Pulisic in transitioning to the senior set-up at the Signal Iduna Park, lifting the prestigious Uefa Champions League, Moukoko sets a career-high target of winning the award reserved for only the best footballer in the world.

"Coming from St. Pauli to Dortmund was a huge step," Moukoko told SportBild.

"In The U15s, we had a coach who not only praised us. He knew we could do more.

"But If I'm honest, my goal is to become a professional with Dortmund, win the Champions League with Borussia and to win the Ballon d'Or."

Moukoko will hope to get going with his blazing form, extending his scoring run to six games, when they visit Fortuna Dusseldorf for Saturday’s U17 Bundesliga clash.

After garnering an impressive 33 points from 13 games, Dortmund sit atop the log, with closest rival Bayer Leverkusen trailing by a point.
