The Spaniard sets out his conditions for a return to the Champions League and competing for the Premier League

Aston Villa are ready to sideline on-loan Chelsea attacker Alejandro Garnacho for the remainder of the campaign to avoid triggering a mandatory purchase agreement in his contract. Unai Emery has been left unconvinced by the Argentine international since his summer arrival at Villa Park and could send him straight back to west London.

Manchester City are preparing to revive their pursuit of Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto in the upcoming January transfer window after the Londoners lowered their hefty summer valuation. The Etihad Stadium outfit previously walked away from negotiations when the Blues demanded a fee that would have shattered the world-record price for a full-back.

Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool are leading the chase to sign highly-rated Benfica right-back Daniel Banjaqui after his rapid rise through the Portuguese club's academy ranks. The 18-year-old defender could be available for an initial fee of around £30 million as elite sides across Europe monitor his progress.
