Andre Onana, Joshua Zirkzee and Noussair Mazraoui, who were sidelined in the US due to injuries, are in line to return to action. However, Lisandro Martinez continues to recover from a knee injury.

Bryan Mbeumo, after debuting against Everton, is expected to start in attack, alongside Matheus Cunha and Bruno Fernandes.

Mason Mount, Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw are all contenders to start, but Rasmus Hojlund's involvement is uncertain due to ongoing speculation about his future.

Finally, Benjamin Sesko was scheduled for his medical on Friday, so his inclusion is uncertain.

Most interestingly, goalkeeper David de Gea will be returning to Old Trafford after representing the Red Devils from 2011 to 2023.

Manager Stefano Pioli is expected to rotate his squad to possibly offer some game time to new signings Simon Sohm, Nicolo Fagioili and Albert Gudmundsson. Meanwhile, Moise Kean is set to continue in attack.
