Wenger: Belgium have shown a worrying weakness at Euro 2016

Arsene Wenger admits Belgium have already shown a ‘worrying weakness’ at Euro 2016.

Marc Wilmots’ side were beaten 2-0 in their opening fixture against Italy but bounced back to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory over Republic of Ireland in their second group game.

But speaking to Tencent Sports before their first win of Euro 2016, Wenger believes Belgium were lacking confidence.

“What was the most disappointing team in the first round was Belgium,” said the Arsenal manager.

“They have shown signs of weakness that are worrying for a team with so many talents.

“Spirit wise, they looked a bit lacking of confidence.”
