In the win over Houston, Behren Morton commanded the Texas Tech offense with precision, throwing for 345 yards on 28-of-40 passing, completing an even 70 percent of his attempts. While he only tossed one touchdown and avoided turnovers, the ground game picked up the scoring load. J’Koby Williams was a force out of the backfield, racking up 107 yards on 19 carries, a strong 5.6 yards per touch, and punched in two rushing scores. He also chipped in with a pair of receptions. Caleb Douglas was Morton’s go-to target, hauling in seven catches for 114 yards to lead all receivers.

On the Kansas side, Jalon Daniels was efficient but couldn’t find the end zone through the air, finishing 18-of-26 for 235 yards without a touchdown or interception in the win over UCF. He also used his legs, taking off 10 times for 25 yards. Leshon Williams made his touches count, scoring three times on the ground while picking up 58 yards on just 12 carries. In the passing game, Cam Pickett delivered a clean performance, securing all five of his targets for 64 yards, averaging 12.8 yards per grab.
