AAC rivals clash on Saturday as the No. 18 South Florida Bulls (6-1) head to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium to face off against the Memphis Tigers (6-1).

South Florida continues to make waves as one of the most dangerous programs in college football this season. Riding a four-game winning streak, the Bulls moved to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play after dismantling FAU 48-13 at home last week. What began as a tight contest quickly turned into a rout, with USF scoring the final 27 points to seal yet another emphatic victory.

Memphis, on the other hand, took a major blow to its postseason aspirations with a shocking 31-24 loss on the road to UAB. The defeat ended the Tigers’ 10-game winning streak dating back to last season and marked just the second time in their last 18 outings that they’ve failed to crack the 30-point mark. The Tigers will now look to regroup and protect their home turf against a red-hot South Florida squad.

Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about how to watch the Memphis vs South Florida NCAAF game, plus plenty more.

Memphis vs South Florida news & key players

Memphis Tigers team news

Memphis had a rough outing in its loss to UAB. Starting quarterback Brendon Lewis exited early in the second half with a leg injury, paving the way for AJ Hill to take over under center. Hill went 13-of-25 for 175 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in relief. Lewis’s status remains uncertain heading into this week, meaning Hill or even Arington Maiden could see time at quarterback. The Tigers’ usually reliable rushing game also failed to find its rhythm, managing 190 yards but struggling to generate any big plays when they needed them most.

South Florida Bulls team news

In South Florida’s dominant win over FAU, quarterback Byrum Brown continued to showcase why he’s one of the most dynamic playmakers in the AAC. The sophomore completed 14 of 24 passes for 256 yards and three touchdowns while also gashing the defense for 111 rushing yards and another score.

For the season, Brown has thrown for 1,695 yards with 16 touchdowns against five interceptions and added 475 yards and six more scores on the ground across 99 carries. His ability to beat teams through the air and on his feet has been a driving force behind the Bulls’ breakout campaign. Running back Nykahi Davenport chipped in 71 yards and a touchdown on the ground, while freshman Jeremiah Koger hauled in 90 receiving yards and a score as South Florida piled up 522 total yards of offense.
