The undefeated No. 7 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (7-0) will look to keep their perfect season alive when they welcome the Syracuse Orange (3-4) to Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field on Saturday for an ACC showdown.
Syracuse enters this matchup in desperate need of a spark after dropping their third straight game, a lopsided home loss to Pitt that pushed them to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The Orange will be eager to turn things around and regain some momentum as the season hits its midpoint.
On the other side, Georgia Tech continued to roll last week, going on the road and taking care of business against Duke to remain unbeaten. The Yellow Jackets improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in ACC competition, sitting comfortably atop the conference standings as one of the nation’s few remaining unblemished teams.

Syracuse Orange team news
Steve Angeli has been the engine of the offense this season, completing 98 of 156 passes for 1,317 yards with 10 touchdowns and just two interceptions. Unfortunately, his year has come to an end after suffering an Achilles injury against Clemson. In his absence, Rickie Collins Jr. is expected to take the reins under center. Collins has thrown for 733 yards on 68-of-127 passing with five touchdowns and eight picks, while also adding 102 yards and a score on the ground. Luke Carney has seen limited snaps, completing two of three passes for 10 yards and rushing for a touchdown.
On the ground, Yasin Willis has been the workhorse, racking up 353 yards and four scores on 91 carries. Will Nixon has complemented him nicely with 219 yards and two touchdowns on 59 attempts. In the passing game, Johntay Cook has been the go-to target, leading the team with 37 receptions for 456 yards and two touchdowns. Darrell Gill Jr. isn’t far behind, recording 21 catches for 376 yards and four scores. Dan Villari has been a reliable option as well, posting 30 grabs for 330 yards, while Justus Ross-Simmons (18 catches, 294 yards, five TD) and Jaylan Hornsby (eight receptions, 103 yards, TD) round out a deep group of playmakers. Ross-Simmons’ status remains uncertain heading into this matchup. Kicker Tripp Woody has been dependable, converting all 18 extra-point attempts and seven of eight field goals, including a long of 49 yards.
