Manchester United are still holding out hope of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford and Sir Alex Ferguson is playing a key role in trying to make the move happen, according to Marca.
The report claims that Ferguson met with Ronaldo in Madrid in March after the match against Schalke and had dinner with the forward and his agent Jorge Mendes.
Marca also report that Ferguson brought up the subject of a potential return to Old Trafford when he met with Ronaldo at his film premiere earlier this month.
Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Ronaldo's situation at Madrid and are willing to launch a €120 million bid, as well as a contract offer that would dwarf his current salary.
