Barca still owe Liverpool €42m for Coutinho

Barcelona still owe Liverpool €42 million (£36m/$49m) for the Philippe Coutinho transfer from January 2018, Cadena Ser reports.

The Catalans agreed a fee of €160m (£136m/$185m) for the Brazilian midfielder at the time, although are reportedly yet to have paid the full amount owed to the Reds.

The report also claims that Barca do not now owe any money to Dortmund or Atletico Madrid, for the transfers of Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann respectively.

Transfer talks between Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland are set to begin in January - according to The Times.

The 21-year-old's agent Mino Raiola is eager for negotiations to start when the transfer window reopens, with City considered the frontrunners in the race to sign the Norwegian.

Haaland is expected to leave Dortmund next year, with it reported that he has a €75 million (£64m/$87m) release clause in his current contract.
