The D.C. United goalkeeper will not take part in the U.S. national team's January camp.

U.S. Soccer has announced that goalkeeper Bill Hamid has withdrawn from men's national team January camp with a knee injury.

It will be the second straight January camp that Hamid will miss with a knee injury. In 2016, the D.C. United keeper was forced out of January camp and went on to miss the first three months of the MLS regular season after undergoing surgery on his right knee.

Hamid, 26, has been capped twice by the U.S. national team, and will miss an opportunity to move up the depth chart by impressing in camp and in friendlies against Serbia and Jamaica

No replacement will be named for Hamid, as the U.S. will enter camp with David Bingham, Stefan Frei, Nick Rimando and Luis Robles as goalkeeping options.
