Ghaly, who is now 35, was stipulated to receive half of the contract value after signing for the club. However, Al-Nassr offered only 30% of the transaction with the remaining to be paid in instalments.

Egyptian reports have suggested that Ghaly had a talk with the officials of his current club Al-Ahly. The club asked the player to postpone discussing the transfer deal until after their encounter against Smouha in the Egypt Cup semi-final.
