    After a social media account reported that Humphrys had agreed to join Wycombe in a £325,000 deal and would sign a two-and-a-half-year contract, the 26-year-old striker has insisted there is no truth to the claims.

    The English attacker wrote: "Suggest everyone unfollow this account. Just invents rumours, for what reason? I don’t know."

    The news that Humphrys has not reached such an agreement with Wycombe will come as good news to Wrexham. The Welsh team have reportedly made a bid for the former Hearts and Fulham player as they look to strengthen in attack to boost their hopes of securing promotion to League One. Humphrys is currently playing in League One with Wigan and has scored seven times in the third tier this season.
