    WHAT DOYLE AND PARKINSON SAID

Speaking to club media, Doyle said: “I’m buzzing to join the club. I’ve been wanting a permanent move for some time now and I can’t wait to get started. I’ve been interested in the club from afar and kept a close eye on the journey and now I’m excited to be a part of it.”

Manager Parkinson added: “We’re delighted to welcome Callum to the club. He’s a talented young player with a lot of Championship experience. We’re looking forward to him joining up with the squad and working with him.”

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Wrexham have already broken spending records this summer with deals for Nathan Broadhead, Liberato Cacace, Lewis O’Brien and Conor Coady among others. Backed by Hollywood ownership, they have invested heavily in proven quality to compete at the Championship level. While results have been slow to start, the additions reflect a clear ambition to stabilise, grow and fight for a fourth-straight promotion to the Premier League.

    WHAT NEXT FOR DOYLE?

The 21-year-old is expected to slot straight into a defence that has already leaked eight goals across league and cup fixtures. His Championship experience could prove vital in helping Wrexham adapt to the division’s demands. The Red Dragons return to action this weekend against Sheffield Wednesday as they continue searching for their first league win.
