WHAT HAPPENED?

Adams is back in the English top-flight after making a big-money move to the Vitality Stadium, but he is not yet match fit. He has suffered the odd setback in his recovery from a niggling knock, with it yet to be determined when the 24-year-old will be ready to take in a debut appearance for Bournemouth.
AND WHAT'S MORE
Adams has told the Cherries official media channels of his rehabilitation and when he could come into contention for selection by new boss Andoni Iraola: “Yeah, there’s been a lot of ups and downs. This has been my most major injury in my career. I got a little bit excited when I started to feel good early on but came back a little bit too quickly and had a bit of a setback. Throughout the summer I was able to make a lot of progress. I’m excited about where I’m at and I’m hoping that I can have an influence on the pitch very soon.”

Adams is looking forward to getting started with Bournemouth, with it still his dream to make a telling contribution to a Premier League cause. He added: “It’s the best league in the world. Week in, week out you are playing against the highest calibre of player, the highest calibre of managers, and it throws something new at you every opportunity that you get. Growing up, that’s all I watched, the Premier League. Last year, having that opportunity to fulfil that dream was amazing.”
