'We left it behind us' - Jadon Sancho feud with Erik ten Hag officially over as Man Utd boss reiterates winger has a future with Red Devils

Sancho was reintegrated into the United squad in July, 10 months after calling out the manager on social media following the Dutchman's suggestion that the winger was not training hard enough. The feud led to Sancho being sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund in January and it was expected he would make a permanent move in the summer. But Ten Hag insists he and Sancho have moved on from the disagreement.

"We left this behind us and we said everything about this. We know from each other what the standards are and how we want to work, how we want to collaborate, and we need a good team," Ten Hag told reporters. "We just spoke about the standards, the levels, the abilities. When I took over you need good players to construct a good team and he's definitely a very good player."

There have been reports that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Sancho permanently, although Ten Hag has backed up his words and selected the winger in United's last three pre-season games against Rangers, Arsenal and Real Betis.

Sancho's return means United have five wingers in the first team squad. Amad Diallo has been lighting up the US tour, while Marcus Rashford has also impressed - although he picked up an injury against Betis. Antony remains at the club - also going off injured against Betis - while Alejandro Garnacho has just returned to training after winning the Copa America with Argentina.

Sancho has one last pre-season game to impress Ten Hag - against fierce rivals Liverpool on Saturday in South Carolina - before the Community Shield against Manchester City on August 10. The Red Devils then begin their Premier League campaign against Fulham on August 16.
