On Sky Sports' commentary, Gary Neville did not hold back on his criticism of Turner. He said: “Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve got no sympathy for him. He's useless with his feet but he keeps trying it time and time again. A scandal from that goalkeeper. Honestly, what the hell are you doing?! With 12 minutes to go, it's absolutely ridiculous."

Forest face Blackpool at home in the FA Cup next weekend and it remains to be seen if Turner will start. There will be further questions asked of the American's future between the sticks both for the next game and the rest of the season.
