WATCH: LA Galaxy U16s stun European side PSV Eindhoven U16 in Generation Adidas Cup thriller

LA Galaxy's Under-16 team secured a stunning victory over European youth soccer side PSV Eindhoven in the quarterfinals of the Generation Adidas Cup to win a five-goal thriller that captivated spectators at IMG Academy.

The Galaxy took the lead early on only for the talented Dutch side to quickly equalize before they returned the favor and took the lead following that. However, the MLS side’s academy team held their own and walked away as 3-2 winners.

The 2025 Generation Adidas Cup has emerged as a showcase for MLS academies' growth, with MLS teams consistently challenging international opposition. The semifinal round saw several MLS academies advance, including Orlando City SC and Colorado Rapids in the U18 category, and Real Salt Lake in the U16 category, alongside LA Galaxy.

LA Galaxy's U16s will face Real Salt Lake in an all-MLS U16 final while the U18 final will also be another all-MLS final as Colorado Rapids will face Orlando City SC.
