USMNT hero Tyler Adams finally makes first start for Bournemouth as he impressively plays full 90 minutes in 1-0 win over Everton

Adams was arguably the Cherries' best player on the field in Saturday's 2-1 win as he ran the midfield in the triumph over Everton. The midfielder put in a huge shift, making an impact all over the field. He had three tackles, four interceptions and won seven duels defensively, while also being unlucky not to earn a penalty in the first half on the attacking end.

Bournemouth, though, had to battle for all three points. Dominic Solanke's 64th-minute goal gave them the lead, but the Cherries nearly threw it away by conceding to Beto in the 87th. Luck was on their side, though, as a Seamus Coleman own goal in stoppage time sealed the win for the home side.

Saturday's big shift comes just days after Adams' ridiculous goal in the CONCACAF Nations League finals, one which is certainly among the best scored in the USMNT-Mexico rivalry. Adams' finish helped lead the U.S. to a 2-0 win over their rivals as they lifted the CONCACAF Nations League.

Adams was on a minutes restriction throughout the international break, with Gregg Berhalter limited in how he could use the midfielder. Because of that, the fact that he went 90 on Saturday is a huge moment for Adams, who is only just returning back from injury issues that lasted about a year.

The start was Adams' first in the Premier League since March of 2023 when he was still with Leeds. That match, a 2-2 draw with Brighton, saw Adams feature alongside USMNT teammates Brendan Aaronson and Weston McKennie.

Bournemouth, who remained in 13th in the Premier League despite the win, will look ahead to another match on Tuesday against Crystal Palace. That match could see two USMNT stars go head to head as Adams could face off with American defender Chris Richards, a regular starter for Palace.
