'Forever a pleasure' - USMNT star Weston McKennie sends message following Copa America warm-up draw against Brazil

The Copa America hosts faced South American giants Brazil in their final warm-up match ahead of the tournament on home soil. Real Madrid's Rordygo opened the scoring before Christian Pulisic levelled proceedings as the match finished 1-1. Juventus midfielder McKennie shared the pitch with team-mate Danilo and made sure to tag him in his social media post after the match.

McKennie is going to have a big role to play if the USMNT are going to seriously challenge for the Copa America crown. It is the nation's fifth tournament having not been invited between 1916-1993 but there is a lot of quality within the squad. If the Juve star can find his form in the middle of the pitch, there is no reason why the hosts cannot progress deep into the knockout rounds.

Posting on Instagram after the match against Brazil, McKennie said: "Proud of the team performance and onto Copa America!! Got to play against Capitano, always and forever a pleasure ❤️@daniluiz2."

The USMNT will get their Copa America campaign underway on 23 June against Bolivia as they look to start fast in Group C. McKennie and Co will then move on to face Panama before finishing the group stages with a tough match against Uruguay.
