USMNT star Weston McKennie's swap deal with Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz gets bolstered as Juventus offer cash + young England attacker for Brazilian midfielder

The Serie A giants have made Brazil international Luiz a top target for the summer transfer window. They are exploring ways of luring the 26-year-old playmaker – who is dating fellow Villa ace Alisha Lehmann – away from English football.

Juve had hoped that offering American midfielder McKennie in exchange for Luiz would tempt Villa into a trade, with the versatile United States international entering the final year of his contract in Italy. The Villans are, however, going to need more than one player.

The Bianconeri do not have the funds to spend big on Luiz, leading Calciomercato to suggest that they will look to sweeten a deal in other ways. They are reportedly prepared to add England U21 star Iling-Junior to the proposal that is being put to Villa.

Luiz, who has also sparked talk of interest from Arsenal, is currently away with Brazil. McKennie is also on Copa America duty in the States and may need some convincing to head back to the Premier League having previously flopped in that division and suffered relegation during a forgettable loan spell at Leeds.
