Trent Alexander-Arnold sends message after Liverpool Premier League title win as contract uncertainty continues with Real Madrid circling

As things stand, the England international is due to become a free agent this summer. While Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have committed to new contracts, Alexander-Arnold continues to see his run down.

He has become a two-time Premier League champion, with Liverpool getting over that line in 2024-25 with a 5-1 mauling of Tottenham, and Alexander-Arnold intends to enjoy the present before turning his attention to what could happen next.

The 26-year-old Merseyside native has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, but no deal has been announced there. For now, Alexander-Arnold has said of Liverpool restoring domestic dominance: “For the City. For the Fans.”

It may be that another major trophy convinces Alexander-Arnold to stay put, having already taken in more than 350 appearances for his hometown club. He may, however, decide that the time has come for a new challenge as he bids farewell to English football.
