- Spurs lose 2-1 to West Ham
- Drop fifth consecutive 1-0 lead
- Postecoglou slams his side's conviction
Getty ImagesWHAT HAPPENED?
Spurs led for the fifth straight game, this time from a looping header by Cristian Romero, but they gave it away yet again as the Hammers rallied behind goals from Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse in the second half. Although Postecoglou's aggressive mentality has garnered a lot of attention since he joined Tottenham in the summer, he maintains that winning games is more important than how well his team plays, despite a lengthy injury list.
WHAT POSTECOGLOU SAID
The Australian said in the post-match press conference (SpursOTM on X): "We just lacked conviction in our shooting. It's not to do with tiredness. People say we're playing good football but we're not showing any real conviction in the way we're playing.
"People say we're playing nice stuff but that's not what I'm about. I want to win. We're right at the beginning of what we're trying to do and this only gives me further fuel."

WHAT NEXT FOR SPURS?
The Lilywhites will next be in action in three days, when Postecoglou's men take on Newcastle United at home on Sunday, December 10. It should be another tight affair for the home side as the Magpies will be looking for a response after they also dropped points against Everton.
