THE BIGGER PICTURE
Dest joined PSV on loan from Barcelona last season and was a key figure in their Eredivisie title triumph, but his season was cut short by injury, sparking fears that his hopes of joining the Eindhoven club on a permanent basis were over. However, the Dutch champions opted to sign him anyway, though he will be out for a significant chunk of the 2024-25 campaign.
