GOALWHAT REAL BETIS CEO SAID
Antony is currently scheduled to return to Old Trafford at the end of the season, but discussions about extending his stay in Spain are already underway. Ramon Alarcon, Betis' CEO, revealed in an interview with Canal Sur’s ‘El Pelotazo’, as relayed by Mundo Deportivo, that the winger has expressed his interest in prolonging his time at the club.
"The other day, Antony told me that he wanted to stay another year," he said. "The player is very comfortable here and was surprised by the facilities we gave him to settle in the city as soon as he arrived."
Getty ImagesWHAT NEXT?
While Betis have openly expressed their willingness to keep Antony beyond his current loan deal, the situation remains dependent on United’s stance. The Premier League club may look to recoup some of their initial investment, particularly if an attractive offer for a permanent transfer arrives in the summer.
