PSG snubbed?! Napoli open talks with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia over new contract amid €100m bid from Ligue 1 giants as they seek Kylian Mbappe replacement

Napoli are working to secure the future of Kvaratskhelia who is considered central to the club's plans for the future, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The Georgian's contract runs until 2027 and Napoli are thought to have a €100 million (£85m/$109m) offer from PSG on the table for the winger. PSG are keen to land Kvaratskhelia as they seek to bring in replacements for star forward Kylian Mbappe.

Napoli are set to appoint Antonio Conte as the club's new coach and the former Chelsea and Tottenham boss is pushing for the club to keep Kvaratskhelia. Star striker Victor Osimhen's future at the club is also uncertain with Chelsea one of several clubs linked with the Nigerian. It's been a difficult season for Napoli, following their title-winning triumph in 2022-23, and Conte will be eager to start a new era at the club with the team's best players on his return to management.

Kvaratskhelia played a starring role for Napoli in their title-winning season, being named Serie A Player of the Year. He followed that up in the 2023-24 campaign by bagging 11 goals and six assists for Napoli in the Italian top flight.

It remains to be seen if Kvaratskhelia will look to continue his career with Napoli or decide on a fresh challenge elsewhere. PSG certainly look in need of reinforcements after top scorer Mbappe confirmed his departure ahead of an expected move to Real Madrid.
