Forgotten man Presnel Kimpembe returns to PSG squad for Bayern Munich Champions League clash after incredible 638 days of injury hell

Kimpembe, who was sidelined for an incredible 638 days, has returned to the PSG matchday squad for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night. The 29-year-old defender will be joined by forward Goncalo Ramos, who has not played since the club's season opener against Le Havre where he picked up an ankle injury.

Kimpembe suffered a terrible ACL injury during PSG's Ligue 1 clash against Marseille in the 2022-23 campaign. He had to be stretchered off in the 16th minute of the match and has not appeared in a game since then. While the player has finally returned after a long wait, it is unlikely that he will play a part in the crucial Champions League fixture.

The Ligue 1 giants have had a terrible time of it so far in the 2024-25 Champions League, as they have managed to win just one of their first four matches and they currently find themselves 25th out of 36 teams in the league stage.

Enrique's side will aim to register their second win of the Champions League against the Bavarian giants on Tuesday before returning to Ligue 1 action on Saturday against Nantes.
