Oleksandr Zinchenko open to AC Milan move as Rossoneri eye €20m deal with Arsenal to replace Theo Hernandez

Milan have made contact over a potential deal to sign Zinchenko from Arsenal as they prepare for the departure of Theo Hernandez. The former Manchester City left-back is open to the move, and a deal worth under €20 million (£17m/$23m) could be agreed due to his limited role last season and expiring contract. However, his high salary is a sticking point.

With Theo set to leave for Saudi club Al-Hilal, the Rossoneri are working behind the scenes to secure a replacement. Zinchenko is a top candidate, but Milan are also keeping tabs on Club Brugge's Maxim De Cuyper. Financial negotiations, especially over wages, will play a key role in finalising any transfer.

The 28-year-old is no stranger to elite football, having played for Man City before joining Arsenal. Despite limited minutes last season, Milan see him as a fitting successor to Hernandez, who is poised to leave after spending six seasons at the San Siro.

Milan must first complete Hernandez’s transfer to unlock budget space. If that goes through, they are expected to push forward for Zinchenko or De Cuyper. Salary negotiations with Zinchenko’s camp are ongoing, with a potential long-term deal under discussion.
