‘Mason Greenwood has disappeared!’ - Ex-Man Utd forward told to ‘wake up & face responsibilities’ amid worrying Marseille goal drought

Daniel Riolo, a RMC Sport journalist and columnist for After Foot, has said when casting an eye over Roberto De Zerbi’s squad as a whole: “Then, there are the stars, finally the one who arrived like a star because in August, when he was hot, it was total bliss. But Greenwood has disappeared for three games, he doesn't do anything anymore, we don't know where he is. He too will have to wake up and face up to his responsibilities.”

Marseille, who enjoyed a flying start to the 2024-25 campaign, have dropped five points across their last two Ligue 1 fixtures. They have slipped to third in the table as a result, five points adrift of leaders Monaco, and will need Greenwood and Co to rediscover a spark when returning to action at Montpellier on October 20.
