Marcus Rashford & Ruben Amorim not on speaking terms anymore as Man Utd forward faces another six months in exile after transfer realisation

The relationship between the pair has broken down to such an extent that Amorim now only addresses Rashford when he is speaking to his squad as a whole, according to The Guardian. The forward has not played for Manchester United since December 12 due to Amorim's concerns over his attitude and commitment. Amorim reiterated his stance on Rashford after the Red Devils' 1-0 win over Fulham last time out by claiming he would rather select the club's 63-year-old goalkeeping coach Jorge Vital than the forward unless things change.

Meanwhile, Rashford has said he's ready to leave Manchester United in search of a "new challenge" but is currently facing another six months in exile unless he can secure a late move before the transfer window closes on Monday, February 3. The forward's options are said to be "dwindling" and he has "not received an offer that appeals to him".

Rashford is said to have only two realistic options this winter: a loan to Juventus or a permanent move to Barcelona. However, the 27-year-old's enormous wages of over £300,000 per week are a real issue and mean there's no guarantee he will leave the club mid-season.

Manchester United are still hoping to be active in the transfer window and are close to signing Patrick Dorgu from Lecce. Amorim's team return to action in the Europa League on Thursday against FCSB, although Rashford is once again not expected to be included in the squad for the match.
