Unbelievable! Man Utd players shocked and 'angry' with Marcus Rashford for missing FA Cup tie after going out clubbing

According to Daily Mail,the England international has faced heavy backlash from his team-mates after a 12-hour tequila-fueled night out in Northern Ireland, which saw him miss Thursday's training session and subsequently dropped from the squad that faced Newport County in the FA Cup fourth-round.

Although a late surge from the Red Devils saw them get over the line at Rodney Parade, senior players in the squad remain "upset" after learning about Rashford's nightclub incident amid a poor run of form which had already seen questions asked of his commitment.

Rashford's camp allegedly misled the club about the timeline of events, claiming the nightclub footage was from Wednesday night and not Thursday. However, reports revealed his presence in Lavery's Bar, on Wednesday, before he was captured going into Thompsons Garage on Thursday wearing the same outfit. He went to Northern Irish club Larne FC earlier in the day. The Sun reports that Rashford and his friends drank till the early hours of the morning until he was helped into his room by a waitress.

As per The Sun, the waitress said: "I'm not surprised he missed training the next day given how late he got to bed and how much he'd had to drink. He must've known he wasn't going to be in any fit state to play football. He was clearly on a mission to get drunk."

She revealed that Rashford even asked if he would be served drinks after 3 am if he paid them extra. She added: "That made it clear to me that he had already made his mind up that he wasn't going to training on Friday. He had no plans to go home that night."

It is reported that the player returned home at 7 am after being flown in by a private jet.

The incident marks the second nightclub-related controversy for Rashford this season after he was spotted partying on his 26th birthday, just hours after a derby defeat to Manchester Cityin October 2023. United have issued a fresh statement after the latest breach of discipline and informed fans that the player "has taken responsibility for his actions" with the "internal disciplinary matter now closed".

Rashford has reportedly returned to training and is in contention to feature in United's next match at Molineux against Wolves on Thursday. He missed out on this fixture last season after he was left out of the squad for arriving late for a team meeting. However, it is not known if Ten Hag has fined the player two weeks' wages, which would reportedly amount to around £630,000, for the Belfast drinking incident.
