Man Utd told to look elsewhere for Erik ten Hag's replacement as Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna makes big decision on his future

United are actively looking for Erik ten Hag's replacement this summer as they plan to part ways with the Dutch manager despite winning the FA Cup this season. The club were linked with a move for McKenna, however, The Athletic claims that the 38-year-old coach is all set to sign a new long-term contract with Ipswich.

McKenna joined the Tractor Boys in December 2021 after leaving his job as the Red Devils' youth coach. Within two and a half years at Portman Road, the manager helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League for the first time since 2002.

Chelsea had also shown interest in the English coach as they look to replace Mauricio Pochettino - who parted ways with the club on mutual consent last week. Latest reports, however, claim that Leicester City's Enzo Maresca is leading the race to join the West London side.

With McKenna out of the managerial race, United could now go after former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi as they continue their hunt for a new head coach.
