Managerial merry-go-round! Man Utd rival Chelsea interest in ex-Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi amid uncertainty over Erik ten Hag's future

Ten Hag's second season at Old Trafford ended with the FA Cup trophy in his hands, however, after what can only be described as a poor season, the Man Utd hierarchy are still uncertain about his continuance at the club. As such, The Guardian has reported that the Red Devils' co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe admires De Zerbi's footballing principles and is a fan of his success at Brighton. He would like the club to go after the former Seagulls boss if Ten Hag is shown the door this summer.

Chelsea are also looking for a new manager this summer after they parted ways with Mauricio Pochettino after a less-than-optimal season. Their search for a manager has also led them to De Zerbi according to iNews, alongside two other managers in the form of Leicester's Enzo Maresca and Ipswich's Kieran McKenna.

Similar to Chelsea, Man Utd have also shown a lot of interest in McKenna for a summer move and it has been claimed that the 38-year-old's preferred move would be to Old Trafford and that the Man Utd hierarchy is aware and looking into his situation as well.

The Red Devils will have to make the decision regarding Ten Hag's future as soon as possible as they will want to start preparations for the future and not potentially miss out on their targets in the transfer market.
