The report adds that Leverkusen could consider cashing in on the situation and selling Wirtz for €100 million (£83m/$104m) to the Cityzens, but if Bayern come knocking on their door they are likely to increase their asking price to €150m (£126m/$166m) as Die Roten are a direct competitor. It has been claimed that staying in the Bundesliga and joining Bayern is Wirtz's preference.
