Liverpool player ratings vs Everton: Alexander Isak, get used to the bench! Hugo Ekitike maintains red-hot form as relentless Ryan Gravenberch shows he can do it all

Alisson (7/10):

The Brazilian was actually the busier of the two goalkeepers despite Liverpool securing all three points. He stood up well to what came his way.

Conor Bradley (5/10):

Whenever Jack Grealish moved a muscle, the Northern Ireland international was all over him like a rash. But the Manchester City loanee made it difficult for him and lost him for Everton's goal.

Ibrahima Konate (7/10):

Has had a difficult start to the season as speculation rumbles on about his Liverpool future but the France international put in a competent display at the back.

Virgil van Dijk (7/10):

The Liverpool captain was dependable as ever in defence and largely kept Beto and Thierno Barry in check.

Milos Kerkez (7/10):

Came back into the starting lineup after Andrew Robertson was preferred in Liverpool's 3-2 Champions League win over Atletico Madrid, and it felt like he had a point to prove. Didn't give much away in defence and got forward nicely, too.

Ryan Gravenberch (8/10):

The Dutchman scored an early goal of the season contender with a terrific first-time finish, and then threaded a well-weighted pass to Ekitike to make it 2-0. His sweeping up work at the back was important and his attacking contributions were superb.

Alexis Mac Allister (6/10):

The reliably-consistent Argentine was still solid in the middle of the pitch, but he couldn't do much when the game got away from Liverpool early in the second half.

Dominik Szoboszlai (5/10):

The midfielder had some nice lmoments but at times the game can pass him by. He can't score worldies every game.

Mohamed Salah (7/10):

Was so close to scoring a wonderful curled effort, not long after beautifully assisting Gravenberch. The 33-year-old seems to have a bit more zip about him at the moment.

Hugo Ekitike (8/10):

The summer signing is proving to be absolutely lethal in front of goal, and his link-up play outside the box continues to be valuable.

Cody Gakpo (6/10):

Much like Liverpool, was effective in the first half but less so in the second and was hooked around the hour mark.

Florian Wirtz (6/10):

Showed glimpses of his quality but is arguably not doing enough to justify his huge £116m transfer fee.

Curtis Jones (7/10):

Gave Liverpool a bit more control in midfield when he came on.

Alexander Isak (6/10):

Does add an extra bit of quality but may struggle to usurp Ekitike from the starting line-up for a while.

Arne Slot (7/10):

His side started the game in impressive fashion and deservedly went two goals up. But the Dutchman will be disappointed with how his team conceded again and still seemed to be in the changing room for a big chunk of the second period.
