Getty ImagesTHE BIGGER PICTURE
Despite the teenager's heavy workload, Flick has confirmed he has no plans to rest Yamal when Barcelona return to La Liga action on Wednesday against Getafe. Players such as Jules Kounde and Bernardo Silva have complained recently about the hectic schedule, along with Manchester City star Rodri who has since been ruled out for the season with a serious knee injury, but Flick says Yamal does not need a break.
AFPWHAT NEXT FOR BARCELONA
Flick will be hoping that Yamal can continue his recent form against Getafe and, perhaps more importantly, avoid injury. The German has just seen goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen ruled out with a serious knee problem and join the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Ronald Araujo, Gavi, Andreas Christensen, Marc Bernal, Fermin Lopez and Dani Olmo on his team's lengthy injury list.
