Kylian Mbappe injury update provided by France team-mate Aurelien Tchouameni with Real Madrid star forced to wear mask following Euro 2024 nose break

The France captain did not play any part in the team's 1-1 draw against Netherlands in their second group stage clash due to a fractured nose that he suffered against Austria. Earlier reports suggested that Mbappe could be sidelined for at least 15 days which means he will remain out of action until the quarter-final stage.

Amid speculation over the 25-year-old's participation in Les Bleus' final group game, his future Real Madrid team-mate Tchouameni has provided an update on his condition. The midfielder also revealed whether the France star would wear a mask if he takes the field.

Speaking to reporters, the Real Madrid player said, "I think he wants to play the next match. His mask? He's getting used to it. He might like to play without it, but the doc isn't going to give him the choice! When he's on the field he will bring us a lot of things."

The 2018 World Cup winners will aim to pick up a victory over Poland by a big margin on Tuesday to qualify for the round of 16 stage as group winners.
