Jude Bellingham caught launching furious rant at referee after being booked during Real Madrid’s win over Espanyol

Bellingham was on form against Espanyol on Saturday evening as Real Madrid came from behind to win 4-1 with Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo and Dani Carvajal scoring for Los Blancos. The England international has now come under scrutiny after he was caught by cameras as he called referee Munuera Montero a 'piece of sh*t'.

The incident came to fruition after Bellingham received a tough but fair challenge from Espanyol's Jose Gragera. The midfielder hit the turf and saw his appeals for a foul turned down, which caused Bellingham to protest openly against the decision. This prompted Munuera Montero to award him a yellow, which angered Bellingham even further as he ranted.

Luckily for Bellingham, Munuera Montera failed to spot the curses targeted towards him. That could have triggered the referee to brandish another yellow card for the England international and also report the incident to the authorities.

It is still possible that Bellingham could receive sanctions and even a potential ban similar to the one he was handed last season for a similar outburst following his red card against Valencia.
