Gary Lineker allegedly breaks more BBC rules as pundit appears on live TV wearing his own range of Next menswear for England's Euro 2024 opener against Serbia

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona striker allegedly broke BBC rules by wearing clothes from his range of Next menswear during the coverage of the Three Lions' Euro 2024 opener against Serbia on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail. Lineker was spotted wearing a pale green T-shirt and a sage jacket from his Next collection - a clothing line he launched in 2023 in collaboration with a high street retailer - during the coverage.

As per BBC rules, presenters are forbidden from wearing clothes - which they are contracted to endorse or advertise or from where they gain financially - on air. The former player's clothes in question are modelled by him on Next's online store.

During the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the 63-year-old got in trouble after he promoted the TM Lewin Shirt on social media and wore it on air after becoming their brand ambassador.

The ex-England international will now have to wait and see if BBC takes action against him for breaching their rules. Gareth Southgate's side, meanwhile, will be back in action in Euro 2024 on Thursday against Denmark.
