WHAT HAPPENED?
After two years with the Newcastle Jets in the A-League, Bromley have announced the signing of former West Ham and Arsenal right-back Jenkinson. The 32-year-old could make his debut for the club this weekend against fellow League Two side Milton Keynes Dons.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Jenkinson began his career at Charlton Athletic, where his performances caught the attention of Arsenal - who he signed for in 2011. While he only played 70 times for Arsenal, he also featured for the Hammers, Nottingham Forest, and made his England debut in a 4-2 loss to Sweden in 2012. For Bromley to sign such a player is quite the coup.
